Meet our horses!
Meet Hank, the Dun Quarterhorse gelding.
He is 24 years old and 13.2 hands high. He is a cute little guy and loves attention. Hank has been to assisted living facilities, schools and parades. Check out what he does during the month of December as "Holiday Hank"!!
JJ is a 37 year old, 15.2 hand Quarterhorse Gelding. He was rescued from severe neglect. He was skin and bones, now he is a very happy boy. JJ is the beginner lesson horse, anyone can ride. He is purely western, is very push button and does what you ask. This is truly an amazing horse. He is now retired and living out his life at Saddlewood. He has his favorite corner to nap in and that's his favorite part of the day. JJ passed away due to old age on October 11, 2019.
Max is a 26 year old Quarterhorse Gelding. He is a western boy and is more for the advanced beginner/intermediate rider. He joins in the camps and birthday parties. He loves going to the kid's house for a birthday party and he loves trail riding at Lake Louisa.
Whinny is an 8 year old miniature mare. She is super sweet. She loves birthday parties and kids. She has been to assisted living facilities, schools and special events. She has a great temperment and goes with the flow!
Romeo is a 21 year old Quarterhorse Gelding and is as sweet as they come! He also was in the Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede for 7 years in TN. He is extremely well trained in western, was a trick ride horse and is a joy to ride. He is an intermediate horse. He also goes to Birthday Parties and loves attention!
He is the barn owner, Amanda's, personal horse.
Romeo passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2019.
Casper is an 18 year old Quarter Horse Gelding. He is a beautiful flea bitten grey color and is as sweet as they come. He loves birthday parties, lessons and trails through the woods. He is very calm and gentle. Casper also likes to visit the residents of Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities. Unfortunately, Casper passed away Nov 21 2016. He will be greatly missed.
